Each event is unique; and at the core are the things the client holds dear; the stated or implied aims and objectives. We therefore make it a point of duty to listen intently to the heart of the client in order to understand the real expectations, then armed with the knowledge, we go to work to deliver on the goals. Whether we are engaged to deliver the total package or provide some support services, we always pull all the stops to ensure success.

3rd Cancer Summit

The Cancer Summit was a two-day conference and exhibition that pulled together the major stakeholders in Cancer care to discuss and deliberate on the theme, Funding Cancer Care in Nigeria: The way forward.

To deliver this event, we worked with a committee of doctors in the months leading to the summit. Meeting once a month at the start and increasing the frequency as the date approached, we planned all the details including content development, determining speakers, creating the programme and designing the event look and feel.

When the D-day came, it was worth all the time and effort as Team Marvel Matrix brought all the pieces together in a seamlessly delivered event, tying in the logistic details and putting a smile on the faces of client, sponsors and participants.

BSTAN Economic Summit

This was a star-studded event and the task for us was simple and straight forward: create the perfect ambiance for the event and provide the appropriate audio-visual systems. But because we know our job so well, we went the extra mile to provide support for the protocols to ensure the VIP treatment for the stars of the day. And yes, everyone was mighty pleased.

Digital Africa Conference and Exhibition

This is an annual event that is very dear to our hearts. Every year we put in man hours to design and stage this event which we hope will lead to the transformation of Africa’s ICT ecosystem. Working with the Digital Africa Team from conceptualisation through planning and sponsorship drive to event delivery, we are there every step of the way to ensure success. It has been a rewarding experience as we have watched our efforts translate into the annual growth and expansion of Digital Africa Conference and Exhibition.

Nigeria Police

You’ve heard it said that Police is your friend, now we tell you that we are the friends of the Nigeria Police Force.

From providing logistic support for the Commissioning of the K-9 Breeding Centre in Deidei, Abuja and the Unveiling of the Anti-Cattle Rustling Tools, through to the celebration of the Police week, we were there to ensure that the events were hitch-free.  After all, they work tirelessly to maintain the peace and tranquility of our society and so we are happy to be there to facilitate their events.

Ejike Chukwu Foundation Launch

Ejike Chukwu is a man of the people with a burning desire to touch lives and improve the lot of the less privileged. To live out this desire, he established a foundation aimed at providing access to tertiary education for indigent youths. His vision is to provide tuition for the tertiary education of one million youths across Africa. But as the sayings go, the journey of a thousand miles begin with one step; and charity begins at home. Therefore, the Ejike Chukwu Foundation was launched in the founder’s home town of Egbema in Imo State with tuition for 43 youths who had passed their JAMB Exams.

The Launch had in attendance high networth individuals from the state and leading legislators. Entertainment was provided by none other than the TuBaba who regaled the audience with original tunes including One Love to which the entire audience sang along and danced animatedly.

Our first assignment on this job was to design the event programme and develop a commemorative brochure that would capture the essence of the Foundation for posterity. For this, we put on our research caps and went to work on generating the content, then translating the information into graphics which was then printed. The end product was a beautiful document our client was and is still proud to share.

The next assignment was to coordinate all the vendors on the event day to ensure a seamless flow of activities. Being an out of station event and considering the short time frame we had, our first contact with the vendors was late at night on the eve of the event. Working in unfamiliar terrain with unfamiliar people (some not fully cooperative) was an uphill task which however did not prevent us from taking charge and sealing up every crack that could have made the delivery less than seamless. The result was a very satisfied client.

That is one of the beauties about being in the industry for over 20 years. The wealth of experience garnered enables one manage a diverse group of people, leading them to set aside personal differences and keep their focus on delivering outstanding results.

My Transition Hours Launch

This was the Public Presentation of ‘My Transition Hours’ a book written by President Goodluck Jonathan’s after leaving office. A high-powered committee was set up to organise the event and Team Marvel Matrix had to work with this group of eminent personalities with very high expectations. The planning took three months of working behind the scenes to generate the guest list, determine those who would play critical roles at the event, draft the invitation letters, plan the event flow and design the event look and feel and create a commemorative brochure.

Once we were ready to go public, our first challenge was to design a befitting invitation card that was both outstanding and reflective of the personality of the president. We quickly got that out of the way and from then on it was a smooth ride all the way to the event day when all that we had planned was executed.

The mammoth crowd that overwhelmed the venue uninvited made our job of execution quite herculean, but we were not side-tracked in any way. The fact is, it was also President Goodluck Jonathan’s birthday and the people came out in droves from all walks of life to felicitate with him. Regardless of the magnitude of the crowd and the inconvenience it posed, we went ahead to deliver an unforgettable event.

The smile on the president’s face and the heartfelt note of appreciation were testaments to the fact that we had done our job well.

Goodluck Jonathan Foundation Peace Conference

One of the most compelling proofs of a job well done is for your client to call you back and engage your services yet again.

We enjoyed the rare privilege of being called upon to provide support for the first Peace Conference organised by the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation. This came on the heels of a hugely successful formal Launch and Public Presentation of President Jonathan’s Book, My Transmission Hours.

Time was really short but because we have a steady and ready team that delivers optimum services even under pressure, we pulled this off seamlessly. The ambience as well as the audio-visual set up were flawless and our professional hostesses did not just look good, they shone brilliantly in their service as they saw to the comfort of the attendees.

One major highlight of planning this event (as it usually is for most of our events) was designing the event brochure. We always look forward to creating commemorative brochures as these items outlast the event and often serve as very useful brand materials that communicate the essence of the client. We spared no detail in producing a befitting one for the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation (GJF) Peace Conference.

Abuja Job Fair

When we submitted our bid for the Abuja Job Fair, top on our mind was our desire to identify with such a laudable initiative which sought to tackle the challenge unemployment in our society head on. We found it exciting that GIZ Nigeria would create such a platform as their contribution towards reducing unemployment and we wanted to make our modest contribution by keeping our prices to the barest minimum.

The news that we had won the bid came while we were away facilitating a capacity development programme in the United Arab Emirates and our excitement knew no bounds. We quickly came back home to sign the contracts and commence work as time was not really on our side. But then we are not alien to delivering premium services within a tight schedule and budget. That’s how much we know our work.

With a mere two weeks to the event which would play host to over a hundred employers and thousands of jobseekers, we mobilised the team to set up the exhibition booths and provide all the services relevant for the successful delivery of the event.

It was no mean feat managing the teeming number of jobseekers but we did. We were overjoyed that our clients were happy with our work.
